Das Fotografiemuseum in Thessaloniki ist das einzige staatliche Museum seiner Art in Griechenland. Es befindet sich im ersten Stock des Lagerhauses A am Hafen der Stadt, wurde 1997 gegründet und umfasst eine Ausstellung von über 100.000 Objekten.

Werke von Sokratis Iordanidis, Giannis Stylianou, Dimitris Letsios, Kostas Balafas und Nelly ermöglichen einen tiefen Einblick in die griechische Fotografie von 1890 bis 1980. Zu sehen sind auch das gesamte Archiv der Griechenland-Fotos von Fred Boissonnas sowie weitere 2.000 fotografische Werke von 200 griechischen und ausländischen Künstlern, die über einen Zeitraum von 1970 bis heute gehen.

Zu den wichtigen Aktivitäten des Fotografiemuseums gehören periodische Fotoausstellungen und die Veranstaltung des internationalen Fotofestivals „Photo?iennale“, das alle zwei Jahre stattfindet. Das Museum führt auch eine beachtliche verlegerische Tätigkeit mit mehr als 35 Ausstellungskatalogen, 60 Postern und Informationsmaterial zu allen Veranstaltungen aus.
